Combine Reports

To access this screen:

This task combines previously generated EOM PDF reports into a single PDF file. You can filter database content by one or more options. For example, you can combine all Pit Actual and Blast Summary reports for a quarter across all pits and areas, or show all reports for a specific ROM over the past year in a specific area. You can also collate the most recent reports of each type in the current database.

This facility is available for open pit and underground data EOM reports.

Generating a combined report requires a report name, report date, database filters, and a list of items to include in the required order. You can select reports from any previously generated PDF output for the currently connected database.

The Selected Reports list is a subset of the reports shown above. Pick items from top to bottom and reorder them if required by using Move Up and Move Down. Items in this list are not affected by filter choices above.

List editing tools

Icon Description
Add a PDF file to the list from outside the current database.
View a selected report. This is not available for multiple selections.
Move selected report items to the top of the list. If multiple items are selected, relative positioning is maintained.
Move selected report items up one position in the list. If multiple items are selected, relative positioning is maintained.
Move selected report items down one position in the list. If multiple items are selected, relative positioning is maintained.
Move selected report items to the bottom of the list. If multiple items are selected, relative positioning is maintained.
Delete selected report items from the Selected Reports list.
 

Activity steps:

  1. Confirm the reporting scope at the top of the form by reviewing Current Pit, Current Area, and Current ROM.
  2. If you need to change scope, use the browse controls to open Database Settings and update the current selection.
  3. Enter the Report Title for the combined report. This value is also used as the output PDF filename.
  4. Set the Report Date. The default value is today.
  5. Use filters in Available Reports to narrow report results as required:
    • Filter by Pit, Filter by Area, and Filter by ROM for open pit data.
    • Filter by Decline, Filter by Area, Filter by Level, and Filter by Stope for underground data.
    • Filter by Report, Filter by Date, and Filter by Latest for both open pit and underground projects.
  6. Apply filter logic as an inclusive set. A report is shown only when it passes all selected criteria.
  7. Add reports from Available Reports into Selected Reports:
    • Select one or more reports with <CTRL>, <SHIFT>, or left-click and drag.
    • Click + to transfer selected reports in current order to the end of Selected Reports.
  8. If a single report is selected, click View to open it. This option is not available for multiple selections.
  9. Review the final order in Selected Reports, because the combined report is generated from top to bottom.
  10. If required, click + to add an external PDF at the required position in Selected Reports.
  11. Click Preview Combined Report to show a temporary preview of the report to be published. This is displayed in your default PDF browser or viewing application.
  12. Publish the combined report to the current database and copies external content if present.

  13. Close the Combine Reports task.

  14. Save your project.

Note: Documents added from outside the database are added to the current database when the combined report is Published. Previewing the report does not add files to your database.
